NYFE Summary

The building began as the home of Flushing’s Reformed Dutch congregation. A later merger brought the Bowne Street Community Church name. Agnes Northrop, an artist at Tiffany Studios and a member of the congregation, designed several of its stained-glass windows.

The tall corner tower contrasts with a low line of arches across the front. Patterned brickwork, stone details and broad arched openings give the exterior much of its character. The windows are part of the church interior, whose visitor arrangements should be checked separately.
