NYFE Summary

A fire in 1882 destroyed much of the roof and several windows. The rebuilding kept the original design while extending the nave and adding a transept. The stone spire was added later.

A steep-roofed porch faces Madison Avenue, while pointed windows and buttresses continue along East 35th Street. The neighboring parish house began as a rectory and later received a new street front.
