NYFE Summary

The company used this office to show what its concrete products could do. Molds produced blocks and decorative details that would otherwise have required stonecutting. The surrounding factory supplied major construction projects, but the business struggled and the works closed in 1882.

The small building combines large arched openings with heavily modeled window surrounds and cornices. Its upper walls retain cast-stone parts, while its foundation was poured in place. Edwin Litchfield’s Brooklyn Improvement Company later used the office.
