NYFE Summary

Banker and railroad executive Austin Corbin developed the building as rental offices. It rose above many of its neighbors before steel-framed skyscrapers transformed lower Manhattan. The transit authority later restored it as part of the Fulton Center project.

Brownstone, brick and terra cotta give the narrow building a warm-colored front. Tall arches, metal window bays and small roof towers cover the long John Street side. Its slim Broadway end makes the depth of the building easier to see.
