NYFE Summary

Wine storage and shoe manufacturing shared this warehouse by the end of the nineteenth century. Its surroundings had changed quickly after a railroad depot replaced nearby St. John’s Park.

Dark brick outlines tall windows and the steep roof gables. Small hooded dormers sit between them. The Washington Street gable carries the owner’s initials, while former loading openings mark the building’s working ground floor.
