NYFE Summary

Stained-glass windows were donated by King Louis Philippe of France. The church grew with St. John’s College, which later became Fordham University. It remains a place of Catholic worship on the campus.

Large stepped buttresses climb the square tower and end in pointed pinnacles. Behind it, a copper lantern with small flying buttresses rises over the crossing. Rough stone walls contrast with the carved window and door surrounds.
