NYFE Summary

As buildings grew taller, the water system needed enough pressure to reach their upper floors. Pumps here moved water from the Jerome Park Reservoir to parts of the Bronx that had insufficient pressure.

The long brick building has paired arches separated by shallow buttresses. Three round openings sit high in each end gable. Layers of projecting brick trace the arches and the steep roofline.
