NYFE Summary

The house belonged to a reservoir that supplied the growing western Bronx. After the reservoir was drained, its basin became a playground. The former keeper’s home later served as a private residence before a neighborhood preservation organization bought it.

Two wings form an L-shaped plan. Rough stone walls contrast with smooth granite around the windows. Small arched windows sit in the gables above a lower porch.
