NYFE Summary

Isaac Rice invested in electrical and transport businesses, while Julia Rice campaigned to reduce noise around hospitals. Her work helped bring rules for boat whistles and quiet zones for patients. Their house, called Villa Julia, survives from the period when large private homes lined the drive.

A tall arch frames the entrance facing the park. Around the side, a curved marble projection shelters a former carriage entrance, with a relief of children above it. The two fronts show different parts of the original household's arrival spaces.
