NYFE Summary

Sender Jarmulowsky sold steamship tickets and provided banking services to the surrounding immigrant community. His bank occupied the stone base, while manufacturers rented the upper lofts. After his death, the bank failed and the building continued with industrial tenants.

The corner entrance sits below a clock and a rounded stack of windows. Terra-cotta ornament crowns the upper floors. During its conversion to a hotel, the missing rooftop dome and original clocks were reconstructed from historic drawings and photographs.
