NYFE Summary

This was one of five Loew’s “Wonder Theaters” created for audiences beyond Midtown Manhattan. It offered movies and live entertainment for nearly half a century. When it closed in 1977, Loew’s donated the building to the Tabernacle of Prayer congregation.

Above the marquee, glazed clay decoration frames the windows and curved roofline. Small faces, shells and flower patterns cover the projecting columns and gables. Colored tiles also break up the yellow brick background.
