NYFE Summary

The fort now houses galleries about maritime training, passenger ships, naval vessels and shipbuilding. The museum connects those subjects with the work of the Maritime College around it, where students train for careers at sea.

Victory Hall examines the merchant ships built to carry Allied supplies during the Second World War. Ship models, photographs and artifacts explain Liberty ships, Victory ships and tankers. Mock-ups of engine and bridge controls show another side of the crews' work.
