NYFE Summary

Mayor Fiorello La Guardia established City Center as a performing arts center in 1943. It brought theater, music and dance into a building whose dome and patterned entrance remain visible from the street.

The present program includes the Encores! musical theater series, Fall for Dance and performances by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. The best way to experience the auditorium is at a scheduled performance. Each visitor needs a ticket.
