NYFE Summary

The New York Evening Post operated from this building during Oswald Garrison Villard’s ownership of the newspaper. The facade uses curved window bays and metal ornament rather than the more usual classical office-building front.

Four tall sculpted figures rise between the upper windows; Gutzon Borglum made two of them. Copper details and a shaped roofline finish the narrow frontage. These features can be studied from Vesey Street.
