NYFE Summary

The congregation began as part of a Church of England mission serving several Queens towns. It later separated from the Jamaica and Flushing parishes. When worship moved to a larger church in 1848, this building became a chapel and then a parish hall.

The wooden walls preserve the rectangular form of an early meetinghouse. A later remodeling added the decorative roof brackets, round front window and trim within the gable. These changes remain part of the building’s visible history.
