NYFE Summary

Charles Pratt founded the institute to train designers, draftspeople and skilled workers. The first building brought the school’s early programs together. As the school expanded, attached halls provided space for a high school and other campus activities.

A clock tower rises above the main entrance and its paired stone arches. Corner towers, rows of arched windows and carved bands animate the large brick front. The outdoor campus provides a way to see the buildings together.
