NYFE Summary

Puck published satirical cartoons in German and English. It shared this building with the Ottman lithographic company, which printed the magazine’s color illustrations. The magazine closed in 1918.

When the city extended Lafayette Street, part of the building was cut away and a new front was built. Round arches and red brick unify the surviving sections. Two figures of Puck remain: a larger one at Houston and Mulberry Streets and a smaller one above the Lafayette entrance.
