NYFE Summary

Members of Theodore Roosevelt's family developed this building for commercial tenants. The American Mutoscope and Biograph Company later made films in a rooftop studio that turned on a track to follow the sunlight.

A copper cupola marks the corner above brick walls and elaborate terra cotta. Sea creatures, foliage and other modeled details cover the upper stories. Later restoration recreated some missing ornament.
