NYFE Summary
This is the congregation’s third church on a site used since the colonial period. Its designers followed a church reform movement that looked to medieval worship and architecture. The later parish house and old gravestones add to the group of historic buildings beside Main Street.
Rough granite walls contrast with red sandstone around the openings. Steep roofs, pointed windows and a tall spire give the church a strong outline. The low side sections make the separate parts of the building easy to see from outside.
