NYFE Summary

Edwin Booth bought this townhouse and gave it to a club for actors. In 1913, performers met here secretly to organize the Actors’ Equity Association.

The collections include stage props, costumes, portraits and records of theatre history. Booth’s bedroom suite and the Hampden-Booth Theatre Library preserve different parts of that history, from an actor’s personal rooms to books and artifacts of the stage.
