NYFE Summary

The former airline terminal now forms the center of the TWA Hotel, with new guest-room wings behind it. Its sunken lounge and enclosed flight tubes remain part of the visit. A mechanically operated split-flap message board recalls the way airport information was displayed before digital screens.

Museum exhibits throughout the former terminal show uniforms, travel posters, serving ware and personal items donated by TWA employees and their families. Displays also explain the airline and the terminal’s design. These exhibits are open to the public without an overnight stay. The flight tubes connect the building to JFK’s Terminal 5.
