A deck over Lincoln Tunnel approach roads will serve buses first and become public green space later.
A deck taking shape over Lincoln Tunnel approach roads is an early piece of the Midtown Bus Terminal rebuild. Gothamist’s October 23 site report places it south of West 39th Street, between Dyer and Ninth avenues, where it will provide bus storage while the existing terminal is demolished and replaced.
The longer-term plan converts that space into a 3.5-acre public park. The report gives 2035 as the expected completion year for the park and terminal project.
