Bill splitter

Good company. Easy math. Work out everyone’s share, from a quick coffee to dinner for the whole table.

What’s on the check?

Enter the tax from your receipt. Tip percentages are your choice. Currency changes the label; it does not convert money.

Discount & other charges

Discounts reduce the subtotal before tax and tip. Service charges are added separately and excluded from percentage tax and tip. Use receipt amounts if your bill is calculated differently.

Bill amounts clear when you reload. Signed-in participant names are remembered on this device for your account.

Settle up without the guesswork.

Start with the subtotal before tax, then enter tax and tip as a percentage or an amount. Split equally, or enter what each person ordered. Copy the breakdown into your group chat when you’re ready.

The calculator rounds tax and tip to cents, then divides the total. It assigns any leftover cents to individual shares so everyone’s payments add up to the bill. No payment is collected here.

Before you pass the check

Can we split different orders fairly?

Choose “By each person’s order” and enter personal item subtotals. Discounts, tax, tip and other charges are shared in proportion to those amounts. Shared dishes can be divided between those item subtotals.

What if gratuity is already included?

Enter it under “Service / other charges” and set the tip to 0%, unless you choose to add another tip. Check your receipt so the same charge is not counted twice.

Why might someone pay one cent more?

A bill does not always divide into equal whole cents. For a $10.00 bill shared by three people, the shares are $3.34, $3.33 and $3.33. The total stays $10.00.
