Seven routes serve Greenwich Village and other neighborhoods, including Downtown Brooklyn.
A downloadable NYU shuttle application will be available November 2 for residents 65 and older in Manhattan Community Boards 2 and 3 and Brooklyn Community Board 2.
Enrollment is first come, first served. Accepted applicants receive an affiliate ID card after approval, which lets them board designated buses without paying.
During the academic year, weekday service runs from 7 a.m. to midnight. One route operates on weekends, with reduced service over summer and academic breaks. Questions can go to 212-998-2400.
